第３回NPAFC国際サーモン年ワークショップ延期のご案内

第３回NPAFC国際サーモン年ワークショップ参加予定の皆様

新型コロナウイルスの世界的大流行に伴う安全性や移動制限等を考慮し、ワークショップ科学組織委員会および開催国の日本を含む加盟国と協議の上、北太平洋溯河性魚類委員会（NPAFC）は、本年5月21-23日に函館で開催が予定されていた「太平洋サケマス類の生産と環境変動の関係に関する第３回NPAFC国際サーモン年ワークショップ（the Third NPAFC-IYS Workshop on Linkages between Pacific Salmon Production and Environmental Changes）」の延期を決定しました。

組織委員会は、本年10月21-23日に同じ会場（函館市国際水産・海洋総合研究センター）でワークショップを延期開催することで準備を進めています。なお、今後も各国における新型コロナウイルスの発生状況と移動制限等を見守る必要があるため、開催日の正式決定は、5月末にメール通信で行われるNPAFC年次会議で行われます。

今年秋にワークショップが延期されましても、すでに講演要旨を受理された講演者は、改訂あるいは差し替える必要のない限り、要旨を再度提出する必要はありません。新規講演の募集も再開する予定です。詳細については、本年6月1日までに、メールと本ワークショップ・ホームページ（https://npafc.org/workshop-2020/）上でご案内いたします。ご不明な点がありましたら、下記のNPAFC事務局あるいは浦和宛ご連絡ください。

参加を予定していた皆様には、多大なるご迷惑をお掛けすること、深くお詫び申し上げます。皆様の健康と安全を最優先に考え、延期の決断に至りましたこと、ご理解願えれば幸いです。本ワークショップの延期開催に向け、今後とも、皆様のご支援賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Subject: Important Announcement: Postponement of the Third NPAFC-IYS Workshop

Dear Workshop Participants,

In light of risks and restrictions associated with the world-wide outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the NPAFC Secretariat, in consultation with the Workshop Science Committee and the Local Organizing Committee, informs on the postponement of the Third NPAFC-IYS Workshop on “Linkages between Pacific Salmon Production and Environmental Changes”, originally scheduled for May 23–25, 2020 at the Hakodate Research Center for Fisheries and Oceans, Hakodate, Japan.

Once new dates for the workshop are confirmed, they will be announced by e-mail and on the workshop webpage (https://npafc.org/workshop-2020/), no later than June 1, 2020.

We sincerely regret the current situation, but the health and safety of all workshop participants are our priority in this decision.
